This is a popular destination, and not far from home. The walks on offer today may well take you on to Chirk Castle grounds, along the canal, or alongside the river. You could be offered some or none of these, but whatever you do do daytay there will be a pub at the end from refreshments.
There will be three walks available with details circulated on the coach. They will range from easy to strenuous depending on the walk selected.
A Walk Leader - Clare Vattev - 10 miles with 1625ft of ascent, and strenuous in places. A circular walk taking in both a seep's eye and a bird's eye view of the impressive viaduct and Aqueducts over the River Ceiriog. Heading down from Chirk to the river for a sheep's perspective and a walk up through fields and woodlands to jion the Llwytor Ceiriog Trail ans then Offa;s Dyke Path back down to the river. Then going aroundGwyningar and Mars Wood, then through Warren Wood. A bit of road to the entrance of Chirk Castle estste, on towards Chirk and the canal tunnel. Finishing with a bird's eye view of the aqueduct before a short climb into Chirk.
