We are a very active and friendly Ramblers group. Our programme explores the most attractive countryside in the surrounding area including the Surrey Hills.
The Silly Season is nearly upon us, so come and join this easy walk along the Thames Path to the church at Old Windsor to see The Christmas Tree Festival. Trees have been decorated by local organisations and charities demonstrating their unique ‘crafty’ skills. The route is mostly flat but can be muddy along the riverbank so poles could be useful. One flight of steps from the road to the river via the Albert Bridge. Tea, coffee and cake will be available at the church with a welcome cash donation. This is a last minute (short) addition to our calendar and understand not great timing in the middle of the day, but we need to wait until end of morning service. Plus last weekend with refreshments available.
Meet ready to walk at 12.30pm in the lay by at Southlea Villas, Southlea Road (B3021) between Datchet and Old Windsor.
