Meet at Puttenham Common Top car park (free) off Suffield Lane, 1.4 miles south of Puttenham village (NOT the one at the bottom of the hill). Nearest postcode is GU3 1BQ - but be warned this encompasses the whole common ! The What 3 words location is precise: ///outdoors.dress.conspired. If you’d like to come a few minutes early we’ll have a diy coffee before we leave. Be ready for departure at: 10.00am. An undulating walk with far reaching views across commons, wending paths through attractive pine and deciduous woodland with sheltered ponds, then traversing Crooksbury Common to reach the Barley Mow pub at The Sands for a lunch stop. Afterwards, a little quiet road walking before joining the North Downs Way with views of fruit fields and the Hog’s Back ridge before we re-enter Puttenham Common to return to the cars.
