There is a limit of 15 people for this walk and booking is essential. Please book your place after 19 February by using the email link above the map on the walk description.
The Yurt Cafe has toilets, lots of seating and it only takes card payments. Please arrive by 10.45 at the very latest, though people tend to arrive earlier.
After coffee, at 11.00, we will walk around Limehouse Basin and then follow the Thames Path, turning off to go through Millwall Dock after 2 miles and Mudchute Farm (toilets). There is a drop-out option for the 277, D7 and 135 buses after about 1 mile, at Westferry Circus. We pass other bus stops along the way, also Mudchute and Island Gardens DLR stations. The walk finishes at Crossharbour DLR Station and there is a possibility of tea.
Bring a packed lunch if you plan to walk beyond Millwall Dock.
While mos of the walk is on hard footpaths, there could be mud in the Mudchute and some paths are uneven, so walking boots or good walking shoes are recommended.
The Yurt Cafe, 2 Butcher Row, E14 8DS. The main entrances to Limehouse DLR and mainline stations are on the south side of the busy Commercial Road. From the main entrances, turn right and go to Commercial Road. Turn left and walk past the Clement Attlee pub. After passing it, take the next turning into Butcher Row, with the White Swan pub on the corner. Cross Ratcliffe Lane and continue under the railway bridge, then look out for a turning on the left, signposted for the Royal Foundation of St Katherine and the Yurt Cafe.
