The Saturday Walkers' Club description of this walk as follows:-

This walk in the Low Weald of Surrey in the Mole Valley provides broad paths through gently undulating country with glimpses of the North Downs ridge to the north. In the morning the walk passes through Hammond's Copse Nature Reserve, an ancient semi-natural woodland, with a wide variety of bird-life. The lunch stop is in the attractive village of Leigh[...] In the afternoon the walk crosses the Mole at Flanchford Bridge and then rises on the Greensand ridge near Reigate Priory to give extensive views of the North Downs and on a clear day the South Downs near Devil's Dyke.

Lunch: I will book six places at the Plough in Leigh. If you would like a pub lunch please let me know when you book your place on the walk. There are benches on the village green and churchyard for those who have a picnic.

IMPORTANT: To be updated by 14 March. No drop out. About 5 stiles, one of which is broken, therefore you need to climb over the fence. Easy-ish walking when not in slippery mud. Boots essential owing to mud. Poles will help. At the end of the walk there is an ascent and descent into Reigate.
