We are the Newark Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We will be walking mainly around the country park, mostly on firm paths. The route will include two locks, a large lake, a 'dog pool' and part of the Grantham Canal. As this is a short walk, there will be just one stop, where there will be places to sit.

Shepherds Pocket Park and Ride car park, Stragglethorpe. Please park at the rear of the car park, which is opposite Rushcliffe Oaks crematorium and next to the Shepherds restaurant. Please note that the A52 may be best avoided, due to roadworks; from Newark, use the A 46 Cotgrave / Cropwell Bishop exit.
