Overview

Please book by using e-mail contact link - PRE-BOOKING WITH WALK LEADER IS ESSENTIAL

A pleasant, undemanding walk at this time of year on mostly solid ground with pleasing views from higher ground. Heading east from the car park the trail runs parallel to the dismantled railway beneath Ardsley Tunnel, and below the heights of Horse Carr Woods before entering Saville and Hollins Woods. A bridleway leads to Tyers Hall Farm before we enter upper Horse Carr Wood, a short section which overlaps some of the 8+ mile walk done on January 4th, but not for long.  The back streets to the north of Ardsley lead onto the TPT to return to the car park, passing Monk Bretton Priory along the way.

Dogs welcome, but must be on a short, fixed lead.
