Overview

Penistone is said to be the highest market town in the country and one of the Pennines’ best kept secrets!! From the car park we walk through the town and then follow the TPT before turning off across fields to climb gently up to Hartcliffe Hill. We stop at the top to enjoy panoramic views over Langsett and Midhope Reservoirs. Going downhill we get stunning views of the surrounding countryside, passing farms and hamlets before returning to Penistone.
