From Dacre Bank we make our way up through North Woods, across several fields to reach the village of Heyshaw. We then head down towards Monk Ings Road which we follow towards Long Ridge Crag before turning off to follow the lane down to Padside Beck. From here we follow the beck through the woods to reach the Pack Horse Bridge where we will stop for a lunch break. After the break a short road walk takes us to Carr Lodge Farm then on through the Scout Camp and then downhill to the Darley Mill Centre . We then make our way down to the River Nidd which we follow all the way back into Dacre Bank.
The walk is mainly across farmland with some short spells of road walking with a few stiles at the beginning of the walk. We may encounter some cattle within some of the fields we have to cross which also may be quite muddy in places. Refreshments after the walk will be at the Royal Oak P.H. opposite the car park.
