Liam Reinhardt is organising a coach trip to Dartmoor on Saturday 11th April. (If all goes well this will be the first of 3 day-trips to Devon that he will organise this summer.)
Beginning in Tavistock we will walk the Dartmoor Way High Moor Link to either Princetown (8.5 miles) or Hexworthy (13 miles). The walk involves traversing the high moor’s wild and windy landscape, through remote areas. Everybody will start the walk together then split into a slower and faster group depending on how they feel on the day; both walks follow the same route to Princetown. Ronnie George will lead the shorter walk to Princetown while Liam leads the faster group continuing on to Hexworthy (weather permitting).
There are 19 seats available on a minibus. Please email Liam to book a place < liamr.csawwalks@gmail.com >. Please indicate in your email a) whether you want to join the coach at Blackwater or Bodmin, and b) whether you would prefer the 8.5 or 13 mile variant (do not worry you can change your mind on the day).
The cost of this trip is £28, payment to be made to the Ramblers after Liam confirms your place. This fee is relatively high because we need to book a driver for the entire day. Conversely, it’s a lot cheaper than an overnight stay in Devon. In the event that you need to cancel we can only refund the fee if another member takes your place.
