This is a joint walk for Get Your Boots On (GYBO) and Midlife Hikers (MLH).
GYBO is our sister group and aimed at people in their 20s and 30s.
It’s circular walk from Driffield following the Canal up to Wansford where we will see the historic locks. From there we will walk along the Beck to Nafferton. Passing through the village, we will follow the track heading back to Driffield. There is a good chance of seeing interesting wildlife which may include kingfishers and herons.

🚻 Public toilets available at Cross Hill Car Park and Tesco in Driffield, a few streets from the meeting point
🚂 Trains from Hull (09:21), Beverley (09:35), Scarborough (09:00) and Bridlington (09:39)
Regular return trains through the afternoon. The meeting point in Eastgate car park is a few minutes' walk from the station.
🥾 This walk may be muddy, appropriate footwear is required. Please note we will pass railway crossings and walk alongside a main road for part of this walk
🐶 Dogs are welcome (they will need to be on lead for some parts)
🥪 Please bring a packed lunch
🍺 There are various options for refreshments at the end of the walk
Midlife Hikers is a Ramblers group for people in their 40s and 50s, and our walks are led by volunteers. Non-members are welcome to try us out for free for up to 3 walks but then we ask you to join the Ramblers.
