Overview

A day of considerable interest & variety in & around Pilton & Shepton Mallet, & with great views to Glastonbury Tor….

Expect to see delightful villages & rural backwaters set amid undulating hills & woodlands. This lovely, gentle, green landscape is entertainingly intermingled with visiting the historic viaduct’s & eccentric architecture & streets of old Shepton Mallet, plus the well of St. Aldhelms, a hippy community & the Fosse Way. It’s a complex day for sure, embracing both town & countryside paths as it does, but one that is full of frequent surprises & territory that will often be unfamiliar to you!

I really enjoyed putting this walk together - It has a rather different flavour to our usual outings, & I urge you to give it a try…
