Beer (A)

We start from the attractive village of Beer and head westwards to Branscombe beach. We then follow the undulating coast path to Weston Mouth from where an initially steep path will eventually reach the Donkey Sanctuary where we shall have the lunch stop. A different route returns us to the coast path before we head inland again to visit the pub in Street. Suitably refreshed our route goes through the linear village of Branscombe where we can enjoy some colourful cottage gardens. From the beach we rejoin the coast path which narrows and has views of the cliffs above us. A short climb leads back to the cliff tops and our return to Beer. This walk is at the top end of the A grade due its frequent climbs and descents. Please note the earlier meeting time at Priory Road as it is a long journey to Beer.
