Overview

We will start at Timsbury and wend our way up towards Michelmersh. Then onwards across fields with lovely views to the back of the quarry at Lower Brook. This is quite steep but with handrails to grab onto. Then we are off up the valley along the old railway track. There after it's good tracks and quiet lanes with interesting cottages to see with nice gardens. This is quite an undulating walk but not challenging.

Two stiles.

Bring refreshments for a stop along the way.

Assistance dogs only please.

Bring you ICE card with you or ask the leader for one.

Park in the car park for the playground in Mannyingham Way, Timsbury. As this is quite small, I have also requested permission to park in the Jubilee Hall car park on the corner with New Road as an overspill if there are a large number of us as they have classes there on a Thursday and participants must have priority. To find Mannyingham Way, take the B3057 Stockbridge Road from Romsey for about 4 miles and on reaching Timsbury, turn right onto New Road, signposted to Michelmersh.
