Overview

Circular from Ettrick Bridge to Mid Hill on well defined hill tracks, climbing gradually and continuing around Helmburn Hill. Lovely views of the gorge of the Ettrick Water as we head back to the village . We then walk along the lower slope of Kirkhope Hill on the other side of the village to Kirkhope Tower, a private residence, then return by lower path through community woodland and back through the village.

Paths are muddy, boots and walking poles advised.

Bring food and drink for 2 stops .

Registration limit: 16 walkers plus leader and back marker.
