This attractive walk offers many pastoral and woodland settings.
The walk starts near All Saints Church Sancton where there's limited parking. It is a public car park near the nursery on the main road. If the car park is full please park considerately in the village. Meeting at the car park we walk along the main road and head to the Houghton Eastate. Continuing to Houghton Moor, and passing through mature woodland, we turn towards North Cliffe and walk a short distance along the road.It is here we make a short sharp ascent through a field up Kings Hill, and along tracks to Castle Farm. We then make our return back to Sancton along a country lane and through the village.
🥾 An earlier issue of this walk stated there was a problem with an over grown kissing gate full of grass and thistles etc. It has now been resolved.
👬 New walkers welcome, but please make yourself known to the walk leader who will be able to supply you with an ICE Card. (In Case of Emergency Card
