This walk includes walking in pastoral settings.It also gives us the opportunity to see Watton Abbey,and a recently renovated old barn giving an insight of what life was like centuries ago.
Our walk begins at Watton Layby. Heading towards the Abbey, we walk by Watton Abbey Farm passing old fish Ponds.We then head to Swinekeld disused chalk pit.
Crossing a busy road, we walk by an old landing strip, and arrive at Burn Butt's Pits and onto Burn Butt's. Cawkeld is our next stop and from here go back to the cars.

The walk mostly flat and will suit all walking abilities
New walkers are welcome to join the group for a few walks before becoming members. Please make yourself known to the walk leader before we start.
Dogs are welcome on short leads please.
At the time of the recce, 27/9/24 a placid herd of cattle ,and a flock of sheep were encountered in some open fields.
