We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Falkland, Scotland's first conservation village & more recently used as an 'Outlander' filming location, we will explore the nearby Falkland Estate, walking behind the waterfall in Maspie Den & visiting some of the historical buildings with fantastic views across Fife & beyond.
A mixture of rough estate paths & forest trails with many steps up Maspie Den & long steady ascents up to monuments. Some of the paths are on uneven ground & can be very muddy especially after rain so gaiters & walking poles are recommended.
There are toilets in Falkland at the start of the walk & at the start of the Falkland Estate.
Meet in Livingston North Railway Station car park, Glasgow side, for car sharing at 8.45am.
Back Wynd Car Park, Falkland at 9.30am.
