A visit to historic Falkland. We will start this lovely scenic walk with an ascent up East Lomond (450m) which is the site of a prehistoric hillfort. There are great views over East Fife and the Tay Estuary. The descent is fairly steep, then we continue onwards to the picturesque Maspie Den woodland with waterfall. You can stand behind the waterfall! Thereafter we will return to Falkland village.
The climb up East Lomond includes many rocky steps which may be slippery in wet weather. There are also other steep areas which can be muddy. Walking boots, weatherproof clothing and poles recommended.
