Overview

Start is at Farnham station, we will meet at the platform exit on the side that the London train arrives at ie on the south side of the level crossing.

The walk begins on The North Downs Way Path, soon leaving this to walk on mainly bridleways through woodland, with a short section along a road.  There was a tree blocking one of the bridleways at the time of the reccce, but according to the sign that should be soon cleared and even if it is not it is no worse that some of the rickety stiles we come across.  The terrain is mainly flat.

Lunch will be at The Tern cafe at Frensham Little Pond, but it is no more than a kiosk, so bring the snacks, drinks and a packed lunch that you will need.  There are toilets at the cafe.

After lunch the walk is across heath land and more woodland.  There was no mud at the time of the recce but if there is significant rain in the next couple of weeks there will be mud.

NB the last part of the walk has some short steep sections.

We then return to Farnham station.  There is a pub by the station.
