Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.

Beginning at Kings Cross station the walk passes through Coal Drops Yard and along the Grand Union canal going east towards Angel Islington. The walk joins the new Green Link Walk for a short time before meandering through the city past some of its historic buildings and hidden parks including Bunhill cemetery and Post Mans Park. Finally the walk goes through the Barbican, past St Pauls cathedral and over the Millennium bridge to walk along the River Thames to London Bridge.
We will stop for lunch in one of the parks, there will be shops nearby to buy snacks and drinks but please bring a packed lunch.
For anyone who would like a post walk drink, there are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants at London Bridge.

Meet at King's Cross station, Zone 1 (Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria , Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines lines plus National rail).
End: London Bridge station, Zone 1 (Jubilee and Northern lines plus National rail).
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
