Overview

A 6 mile walk, mainly on field paths, from Tutbury Castle, past British Gypsum, to Fauld Crater. Return via Castle Hayes Farm, with a short road walk at the end. We will take a break at the historic Fauld Crater Memorial. If the weather is clear there are lovely far reaching views over the Dove and Trent Valleys.

Please note, there are a lot of stiles, some of them challenging! Long trousers recommended, as there are some overgrown paths.

Limited parking available near the Castle gates, otherwise on street parking on Castle Street, Fishpond Lane (Wakefield Ave.) or Hillside.
