Overview

From Black Rocks we proceed to Wirksworth and climb up to see the StarDisc, a 21st century stone circle and celestial amphitheatre created by Aidan Shingler, then onto Middleton Top that houses the restored steam engine house built in 1829 by the Butterley Company to haul wagons up the Middleton incline. Following the High Peak Trail past the the National Stone Centre we descend into Cromford and return to Black Rocks.
