Dear All,
This walk will not be unfamiliar to you , taking in part of Birmingham/Worcester Canal, The Vale, University of Birmingham campus, Harborne Walkway and Edgbaston Reservoir linked by interesting urban routes in between. Enjoy the escape from the madness of Christmas shopping although we will pass through a glitzy part of the commercial centre of the Calthorpe Estate.
It is level, has no stiles and is well surfaced. the downside is lack of toilet facilities, although there is opportunity at the Red Shed and petrol station in Bath Row. There are “escape” opportunities if the going gets too much or the weather deteriorates.
Meet at Five Ways Station, Cross City Line at 10.00.

Parking is not easy in this area, it may be possible to find somewhere off Wheeleys Rd
buse that pass nearby are 1, X20, X21, X22, 80 and the Metro
