Overview

We will take the train from Bradford-on-Avon to Freshford and walk hills and wooded
valleys near the river Frome. We’ll pass the southernmost point of the Cotswold Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty and pass Iford Manor enroute to Avoncliff, where refreshments
are available, if desired, overlooking the river Avon where it meets the Kennet and Avon
Canal at the Avoncliff aqueduct. We’ll take the canal towpath back into Bradford-on-Avon.

We will catch the 09.52 train from Bradford to Freshford. Cost £ 4.20 for a single ticket. (One
third off with a rail pass).

The walk itself starts at Freshford railway station at approxiately 10.00am (A reminder: the
walk does not end there but in Bradford).
