We are the Shrewsbury Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a leisurely walk through lanes, fields and villages. It includes the ancient Watling St and there will be views of Caradoc and The Wrekin, and the amazing Pitchford Hall with its spectacular Tudor b & w design and tree house. We finish with a wander round Acton Burnell Castle and Church, where you might want to stop for lunch.
You will learn why it is called Pitchford!

We suggest car sharing as always. We intend to park in the small road leading to Acton Burnell Castle.
Will update this after a second recce but so far parts are very muddy and wet, wellies recommended if you have them, poles certainly required.
There will be one coffee stop and bring lunch for the finish if you want.
