This walk is a 5 mile circular tour of the impressive Ancient fortifications of this border town. It is graded moderate thanks to the steep 400ft climb early in the walk. This results in excellent views both of the Welsh hills towards Clun and The Shropshire Hills around Stiperstones. There will be 2 stops. An early coffee stop to allow us to regroup after the initial climb and a late stop to allow an inspection of the impressive castle. 3 Stiles along the walk.
Public toilets are available in Montgomery and we will pass them both at the start and end of the walk.
