We are a very active and friendly Ramblers group. Our programme explores the most attractive countryside in the surrounding area including the Surrey Hills.
Meet for a 10.00 am start at Amersham Old Town Car Park, Broadway, behind new retirement flats, next to Tesco – (post code HP7 0HL –What3Words racks.tooth.dawn – £1.20 all day on Sundays, payable by card or RingGo – toilets available). It is a circular, undulating walk via Coleshill, Penn Street, Beamond End (home of the Penn family who founded Pennsylvania) and Little Missenden (church with frescoes & tea). Pretty villages and good views. Bring refreshments for mid-morning stop. Options for lunch in Penn Street – The Hit or Miss pub (menu on-line), picnic lunch with drink from pub at pub picnic tables on verge opposite the pub, or picnic on the Green.
