Overview

A circular walk starting from the memorial cross in front of the church, on the main street at Gillamoor. From there we will descend behind the church to walk north, joining Faddell Rigg and walking past Grays farm.

Then we will descend into Sleightholme via Hope Inn farm and Stonely woods. We will then continue to Pennyholme. We then ascend into the woods at Pennyholme Wath. We return south via Aumery Park and Fadmoor.

The walk is mainly on grass and clear tracks with some woodland. There is a lot of woodland and fungi to display the seasonal colour. There is quite a bit of uphill but the only steep section is the climb from Aumery Park. 7 stiles. The Royal Oak should be open for post walk refreshment.
