Overview

Circular walk from Pocklington to Millington.  Leader Paula.

Friday, 7 November 2025
Start time:
10:20 am
Estimated finish time:
3:00 pm
Difficulty:
Moderate
Distance:
10.5km / 6.5mi
Ascent:
N/A
Type:
circular

The path takes us along parts of the Chalkland Way, the Wilberforce Way and the Pilgrimage of Grace Heritage Trail.  We visit Millington with its delightful church and on the way down we will go through the calm and interesting grounds of Kilnwick Percy.  We may decide to lengthen the walk a little here, depending on conditions on the day.

The walk includes one steep pull up from Pocklington and another incline before lunch in Millington.  The way down from Millington is a bit steep but as usual we'll take it all at a comfortable pace.  Poles are recommended as it may be muddy going up and down through Pocklington Wood and in one or two other places.  There is only one stile.
