We are the York Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
UPDATE, Road closure signs are on the road leading up to Appleton Le Moors this is for road maintenance. Today Tuesday the walk leader was told by a local you can get through and did so. If you cannot get through tomorrow the diversion is via Cropton and takes about 10 minutes more.
Walk down through this beautiful village eventually to meet the River Seven which we will follow into Sinnington. Climb out of Sinnington past All Saints Church and on to Cropton where we will have our coffee stop. Downhill and over Cropton bridge to Lower and then Higher Aiskew where we begin to cross Spaunton Moor. Before dropping down into Lastingham we will have our lunch stop. Steep climb up to Spaunton and then following Spaunton Lane back to our start point.
