Overview

This classic walk explores both sides of Glen Tilt, deservedly regarded as one of Scotland's most beautiful glens. The route takes us up one side of Glen Tilt to Gow Bridge then we return down the other side of the glen. Glen Tilt is a beautiful glen with good views of the surrounding hills.

Ramblers walk grade Strenuous. Walks for experienced country walkers with an above average fitness level. May include hills and rough country, and may be at a brisk pace. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are essential. People in doubt about their fitness should contact the organiser or leader in advance.

Car share: return mileage to walk start is 126 miles. Passengers please give your driver £9.

The route is waymarked and follows clear paths, tracks and minor roads. Some sections could be muddy after wet weather.

It is not affected by any stalking restrictions. The route passes by the Atholl Estate rifle range. Notice will be taken of any warning flags and notices on the day, with re-routing if necessary.
