Overview

One of the best and most famous ridge walks in the UK, the Great Ridge stretches from Mam Tor, over Hollins Cross, Back Tor, and finishing with Lose Hill, approx 3k in length, giving amazing views over the Hope and Edale valleys, and the edge of Kinder. Our walk will start from the main car park in Castleton, heading for the “broken road”, then up to Mam Tor and along the ridge to Lose Hill. We then descend back to Castleton along field paths and tracks.

The car park is adjacent to the visitor centre and toilets, and costs £6.80 for the day
