Based in the Scottish Borders, Eildon Ramblers is a friendlywalking group for people of all ages. We offer year-round walks to suit avariety of tastes.
We walk south from Greenhill, past Yett Farm, to take a track up to Hut Knowe, Whitestone Hill and Callaw Cairn. From there we reach the English border and a short section of the Pennine Way before taking a track back over Dick's Knowe and the impressive hillforts on Little Rough Law to return to Greenhill. The walk offers spectacular views in all directions, and there are "escape routes" in the event of inclement weather.
Walkers should be suitably equipped for a hill walk. There will be a lunch stop and drinks stops as required.
Circular walk, grade B, moderate. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.

Registration deadline. You should register with the Walk Leader no later than 5pm on (a) the Thursday prior to a Saturday walk, or (b) the Friday prior to a Sunday walk.

This circular walk starts at Greenhill mansion at NT778175. We park on the roadside verge just before the large house, in time for a 10.00 a.m. start. Greenhill can be found by driving through Morebattle, turning right towards Hownam just after the village, and taking the first road to the left about 100 yards south of Hownam. Car sharing is recommended.
