We are the Biddulph Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A pleasant Boxing Day walk in the company of John and Moira . We leave the top carpark at Greenway Bank Park, and follow the path down to behind the Serpentine. We then walk alongside the Serpentine and afterwards the reservoir before turning at the Warder’s Tower to Gorton’s Well. We retrace our steps to the main path and head for the waterfall. Following our visit there, we climb some steps and head for Gorton’s Stone where we rejoin the main path to take us back to the reservoir. We walk up to the lower carpark and make our way back to the start.
Walkers from other groups are always welcome, as are non-members wanting to sample walking with our friendly group of ramblers. Just turn up and make yourself known to the walk leader.
Please make sure you have an ICE (in Case of Emergency) card on you when out walking – you know it makes sense - if you don’t have one then ask the walk leader for one before the walk starts.
