There is a limit of 10 people for this walk, as it’s my first time as Walk Leader, and booking is essential. Please book by email before 14th May 2025. **SORRY, BUT NO DOGS ON THIS WALK**AND ADULTS ONLY**
The walk starts at Greenwich Station . There are toilets in the station, which are usually open.
We will walk into Greenwich Park and up the hill to the viewpoint, next to the Royal Observatory. Toilets should be available, in the park.
From there we’ll walk down to the river, at Greenwich Pier, and then use the Thames Path, through Deptford, Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, to Tower Bridge - with many interesting sights, along the way.
Lunch (30 minutes) will be taken around midday, somewhere along the Thames Path, so please bring a packed lunch.
There are numerous potential drop out points along the way, with regular bus services close to the path, and train/tube stations not too far from the path. All within the Oyster/Freedom Pass area.
Travel: Make your own way to Greenwich Station to arrive by 10.20. We meet in the ticket office area.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
