Overview

North on road to take path on left across field paths to Wetton Road. Straight on to cross another road to Villa farm. Take path on right down to Dale Bridge and Ecton. The route then ascends steeply to Summerhill Farm and across to Sugarloaf before descending to Wetton Mill. We then follow the Manifold Way for a short while before taking a path up through Ladyside Wood back into Grindon.
