Overview

A walk with pleasant scenery through the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The route starts on the River Wey Navigation, briefly follows the North Downs Way, and then veers off up to climb the wooded Chantries Hill for fine escarpment views at the top. We then rejoin the North Downs Way to climb to the hilltop church of St Martha’s, before descending and returning via Chilworth and heathland to Guildford.

Use toilets on the train or at Guildford station - no other loos on the route.
