We are the East York Get Your Boots on Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This is a circular route from Stillington where we cross farmers fields, country lanes and one section along the main road. We head towards Crayke Hill with the ruins of Crayke Castle where you will see far reaching views across the Howardian Hills on a clear day. We then make our way towards Brandsby and then back to Stillington.

🅿️ On street parking on Main Street and surrounding side streets. Please park considerably and consider car sharing where possible.
🚌 Bus 40 runs from York Exhibition Square to Easingwold (stopping off at Stillington York Rd Junction) The bus runs every hour. Please check timetable: https://www.transdevbus.co.uk/coastliner/services/40/
🚻 Toilets will be available at the pub at the end of the walk.
🥪 You will need to bring a packed lunch
🐶 Suitable for dogs but will need to be kept on leads at all times. There are stiles along this route which do not have dog access. Please be mindful if you are bringing dogs.
🥾 Boots are recommended as the route is expected to be muddy in places
🍺 Option to stop for a drink at either pub in Stillington at the end.
