We are the Take a Hike Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A local ramble starting in Far Headingley and passing through the greener parts of Adel, Cookridge, Horsforth and then back to Headingley opposite Woodies (which strangely enough provides us with a post walk tipple).
Following footpaths through a mixture of urban and countryside landscapes. Gently undulating terrain with no prolonged steep hills.
Risk of a bit of mud through the woodland areas especially if we have rain.
Meet outside the New Inn pub on the corner of Cottage Road and Headingley Lane. The New Inn is situated in Far Headingley, between it and the Three Horseshoes Pub there is a parade of shops.
