This is a circular walk starting along the river in Henley. The path is flat. Lunch will be in the charming village of Hambleden. I will book 6 places at the Stag & Huntsman in Hambleden and will offer these on a first come first served basis. There is also a cafe which is run by the local shop and there is a toilet on the side of the village hall.
The afternoon is longer (6 miles) and takes us through the Great Wood where we might be lucky and see wallabies. There are steep climbs and at times the ground is rutted and uneven.
Places are limited so booking is essential. Please use the email contact sheet to reserve a place and a pub lunch if you want one.
Please buy a cheap day return to Henley on Thames.
We will be taking the 10.08 GWR train from London Paddington. This train arrives at Twyford at 10.41 where we have just 4 minutes to catch the10.45. We arrive at Henley on Thames at 10.57.
IMPORTANT Please can everyone sit at the FRONT of the 10.08. That way we can alight at Twyford by the bridge on Platform 3 and reach Platform 5 as quickly as possible to make the 10.45 to Henley-on-Thames.
