This is a circular walk of 10 miles. The morning half is far less scenic that afternoon. There is hardly any shade which might be tough for some in sunny weather.
Lunch is in the village of Houghton. I have booked 5 places, 3 remaining, at the Three Horsehoes pub.
Please contact me using the email link if you want a pub lunch.
Houghton also has two cafes, Houghton Tea Room and the nearby National Trust cafe at Houghton Mill.
The afternoon is very green. We pass a nature reserve, water meadows and picturesque lakes. From Goodmanchester we approach Huntingdon via Portholme meadow. A Waterstones pub, Sandford House, is on route to the station.
