We are the Ross-on-Wye Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A varied walk, with an initial climb up to the Obelisk and then down to Eastnor Deer park, before heading up Clenchers Mill Lane and thence through a mix of woods and parkland, returning on the Three Choirs Way, back to the start. Attempts will be made to avoid too much mud, but there are no guarantees! Weather permitting we should enjoy some lovely views throughout the walk.
We will stop for coffee at The Woodshed, Eastnor, where there are good facilities. Delicious fare is on offer there, though time might not permit us all to take advantage of it! Therefore bring drinks and a packed lunch.
Poles are recommended as there will be some slippery, muddy patches.
No dogs please.
Car sharing is encouraged. Meet at Wilton Road car park, Ross, for a 9.10am departure.
