Overview

A 10.5 mile strenuous walk from Hope going up Win Hill (1440ft, a climb of about 900ft) then gently downhill to the Bamford. Lunch stop will be at Bamford with a pub stop at the Anglers Rest (I hope) There are toilets in Bamford. The afternoon will take us through Thornhill and around the foot of Win Hill.

Packed lunch required.

Meet at Hope Car Park for a 9:30am start. There are toilets at Hope Car Park. Park at Hope Car Park (charge £6.80) or on the roads nearby for free. I recommend Pindale Road (turn left after the church and park on the upslope after the bridge SK 171832 postcode S33 6RN) or Eccles Close in front of Hope Primary School (turn right at The Old Hall Hotel and take the first turning on the left with full road markings SK 172837 postcode S33 6RG). Take the M18 towards Sheffield. Take the M1 north, leave at Junction 32 and take the A630 towards Sheffield. Take the Ring Road A6102 towards Bakewell to Ecclesall. Turn left on the A625 towards Hathersage. Carry straight on to the A6187 through Hathersage towards Hope. Hope Car Park is on the left about 200 yards past the church.
