Parking at Tebay Village adjacent to playground and recycling centre just off A685, on quiet road. We follow tracks then open moorland to Blease Fell (1556 ft). Unusual view of M6! Then open moorland to Uldale Head ( 1700 ft), then to Rispa Pike ( 1570 ft). We descend to Ellergill Beck and then back along a dirt road to Tebay. Open views of the Tebay area. Note: I was on Blease Fell on 30th June. It was decidedly chilly. Hence I recommend warm layers, and even gloves and woolly hat!
After walk, tea/coffee at Tebay Truck Services.
The open moorland is rugged and boggy at times, and maybe challenging in adverse weather. There are a few horses/ponies on the moors, but they completely ignored us on the recce.
