Overview

The walks starts from Troutbeck Church.  After leaving the road, the walk is mainly on well marked footpaths and gravelled tracks.  There is a steep but short scramble to the top of the Tongue and an easy descent on a grassy path.  This a moderate walk at a leisurely pace.
