ROUTE

From the town hall (opposite the train station) we walk up streets to the edge of the moor. We head up past White Wells to Lanshaw and the Twelve Apostles Stone Circle, where we stop for a drink. From here we head across the moor to Whetstone Gate and Cowper's Cross, where we will have another break. We then head down a track to Ilkley.

At least 3 miles across uneven moorland in the dark, half of which is uphill and is steep in places. The remainder of the walk is on tracks or pavements.
