From Hall Street car park we make our way along the back streets and up to St Ronan's Wells, the visitor centre for which is sadly set to close permanently at the end of March 2026. We then make our way to the radio mast on Caerlee Hill and pick up a woodland path along Merrybrae before dropping down to the A72 along Kay's Burn. Crossing the A72 we follow the riverside path to Toll Wood. Here we cross the road at the Toll House and continue following the Tweed until we cross the Leithen Water. From this point we follow back streets to cross the A72 again at Pirn Road. Our final climb is then through Pirn Wood to Pirn Hill Fort. Coming down from this, we cross the Leithen Water at the Cuddy Bridge and make our way through the back streets to the car park.
