From the car park, cross the footbridge, following riverside path.  After 500m, exit the park and turn right on to the A72, crossing with care after 150m.  Then enter the wood at bottom of exit road from Peebles Hydro and turn right to enter the forest at Janet's Brae and take left fork uphill to a wide forestry track.  Turn left and follow it around the edge of the forest for 2.5km until reaching Buzzard's Nest parking area. Just before the vehicle barrier take the path down to the right and follow blue/red wayposts downhill all the way back to the visitor amenities.  Turn right on to the entrance road and follow it down to the A72.  Cross with care and take the path keeping Horsburgh Castle remains on left.  Just past the quarry turn right to enter Eshiels woodlands and follow the Tweed Valley Railway Path back to Peebles and start of walk.
Description: Paths and forest tracks to Buzzard's Nest Car Park, Glentress, and back to Peebles via Eshiels Community Woodland and Tweed Valley Railway Path.
Additional information:  Boots or strong shoes recommended.  Bring drinks and snacks for stops.
