Kenfig National Nature Reserve is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest.
We will walk along part of the shore of Glamorgan’s largest natural lake, Kenfig Pool, to the remains of the 12th c. Norman castle.
There are three stiles (we will climb over them twice!) and some soft sand in places.
There is a charge to park at the venue which you pay on exit with CARD ONLY.
Social after walk:
There will be refreshments available after the walk either at the local coffee stop or the local pub.
Directions:
From M4 Junction 38, take first exit onto A48 and pass Margam Country Park.
Take first right onto B4283, (signposted Porthcawl 6M) and Kenfig Industrial Estate.
After two miles, turn right at cross roads, follow brown tourist duck signs to reserve.
